Minneapolis, MN – March 8, 2010—tenKsolar announced today that the company has executed an agreement with the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC) for sales of the company’s high output solar photovoltaic systems to rural electric cooperatives. “Having had firsthand experience with NRTC’s excellent ability to bring technology solutions to market in rural America, I am delighted that NRTC will be representing us,” said Joel Cannon, CEO of tenKsolar.

tenKsolar is bringing to market a proprietary, high output, highly reliable photovoltaic system which delivers maximum energy density at the lowest cost. The tenKsolar RAIS™ PV module sets new standards for efficiency, reliability, and safety using an innovative Cell Optimized Technology and low cost added energy through Reflection. Founded in 2008, tenKsolar is a privately held corporation based in Minneapolis, MN.

“Rural electric cooperatives are on a path to a smarter grid, which includes use of renewables like solar,” said NRTC President and CEO Bob Phillips. “When Joel Cannon demonstrated the benefits of the tenKsolar concept, we knew that NRTC members would appreciate the value of this product. With the innovative design and affordability of tenKsolar, electric co-ops can engage their consumer-members as partners in distributed generation,” he continued.
