Expect to find a large group of focused fellow NRTC members when you travel to Florida for the highly anticipated TechConnect 2025. TechConnect, NRTC’s festival of technology sharing, always features high-quality presentations on innovation and telecommunications/electric cooperative business operations, delivered in beautiful and relaxing settings.

For NRTC members only: Register now for the three-day conference, Nov. 3-5, at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Registration is free for the first two NRTC-member company employees. The registration includes educational sessions, all meals, and an excursion of choice.

Shawn Kanungo

After a Monday evening opening reception, TechConnect sessions begin the next morning with “Reimagine the Future,” a presentation by Shawn Kanungo, best-selling author, and technology strategist, to discuss how businesses balance generative AI-based automation with the needed human touch.

Chris Beatson, NRTC Chief Technology Officer, will continue the AI discussion on Wednesday morning with “Cutting-edge Innovations Shaping Our Future,” a look at specific ways to use AI for more efficient data analysis to improve everyday operations.

The heart of the conference for many members will be the Tuesday, all-day breakout sessions for broadband and smart grid.

The broadband breakout agenda will run down three tracks. One series of sessions will cover financing, marketing, and technological ideas to help grow an established broadband business. A second session will look at routine processes and technology tools in real world situations that improve broadband operations. And for those interested in offering both fixed AND mobile broadband, a track of sessions covering how to manage mobile bundles.

Ben Whiting

At the same time, electric members will participate in the Smart Grid Reliability Summit. A series of interactive sessions facilitated by the NRTC Smart Grid team will cover the many technologies that are enhancing electric distribution and allow members to share their own experiences.

The conference will close with sessions to help NRTC members build their organizations through community initiatives and stronger communications skills. Magician-turned-consultant Ben Whiting will demonstrate how the techniques he used as a performer can help businesses reduce drama in the office and increase productivity.

And between the sessions, there will be evening events, golfing and other interesting excursions and plenty of opportunity for NRTC members to compare their business experiences.
