Hart EMC Completes Innovative Itron Gen5/Meridian Integration
CASE STUDY

Hart Electric Membership Corp. in Georgia met in 2019 with representatives from NRTC and Itron to kick off a major advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) project. The project to reach 38,000 meters over six counties recently concluded. It was noteworthy for being the first to integrate Itron Gen5 AMI with Meridian billing software.
NRTC has posted an extensive case study to describe the issues and solutions Hart, NRTC, Itron and Meridian developed together. Pictured above, Russell Shirley, Hart EMC’s senior VP, Technical Services (yellow shirt) and Justin Burdette, technical services supervisor (red/blue striped shirt), spearheaded the project.
