Be sure to stop by on June 3 for the 2021 Broadband and Digital Infrastructure Summit. NRTC and NRECA are collaborating on the half-day online meeting at noon to 5 p.m. Eastern Time.

There will be two general sessions. “Broadband Beyond the Technology Hype and State of the Industry” will feature a panel of engineers and system designers from Black & Veatch, Corning and ADTRAN discussing the need for connectivity to enable AMI, demand management, distributed generation and other smart-grid functions. Speakers from Nokia, CHR Solutions and Calix will talk about the smart-grid value of fiber backbone deployment in “Maximizing the Value of Your Broadband Backbone.”

Broadband systems vendors will go into greater depth on fiber, smart grid and other issues in several breakout sessions.

NRTC and NRECA experts will lead a concluding Q&A session. Register today. Participants will require a Cooperative.com account and password to register.

Correction, May 5: An earlier version of this story reported that the summit will be free. There will be a $150 charge. We have corrected it above.
