Exacter to Give NRTC Members the Ability to Predict Power Outages

Randy Sukow May 19, 2015

NRTC today announced a strategic partnership with Exacter, a Columbus, OH- based company that offers a smart grid analytics system allowing utilities to pinpoint when and where future outages are likely to occur and to send repair crews preemptively.

"The technology delivers many benefits from preventing outages, to providing visibility into the overall health of the overhead system, to identifying significant points of risk. It will also help utilities reduce SAIDI, SAIFI and other reliability indices," said Ed Drew, NRTC's vice president, Utility Solutions.

NRTC and Exacter plan to hold a series of webinars to explain the technology in more detail. NRTC also will highlight Exacter’s system at future industry conferences.
