Randy Sukow / Oct 1, 2019

Hart Electric Membership Corp. (Hart EMC), Hartwell, GA, today kicked off a project to install Itron advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) over its approximately 39,000 meters and 18 substations covering 1,150 square miles. “Network speed and architecture” are aspects of the flexible Itron technology that stood as it made the decision to work with NRTC to deploy the system, said Russell Shirley, Hart EMC’s senior VP, Technical Services. The Hart AMI project team of communications and utility specialists from Hart, NRTC and Itron, gathered during today’s event. Rodney Page and Edward Fowler.
