Cable TV providers offering broadband service have long had an advantage in providing multimedia services. The data over cable service interface specification (DOCSIS) system includes features that allow cable operators to monitor and manage multimedia performance over their networks, including data, VoIP and video distribution. NRTC’s NeoNova will discuss new remote device management technologies that give rural DSL, fiber and wireless broadband providers similar capabilities.
Chris Beatson, NeoNova’s VP, project management and software engineering will talk about the new approaches during an April 24 Webcast hosted by NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association. Alana Pilkington, NRTC’s VP, Internet Services also will appear to discuss how improved central management systems reduce costs and reduce churn for triple play providers.
The free webcast begins at 2 p.m. Eastern time on Thursday, April 24. You can register at NTCA’s Event page.
