NRTC Amps Up the Music and Technology for Fall 2018

Randy Sukow Aug 31, 2018

It’s conference season for rural electric and telephone companies as NRECA and NRTC, the Rural Broadband Association, host regional and national meetings over the next several weeks. NRTC representatives will be at those meetings to share technology ideas with our members.

To kick it all off, the NRECA meeting for Regions 1 and 4 will be at the Hyatt Regency in Columbus, OH, Wednesday-Friday, Sept. 5-7. To add interest to the event, Wisecrack, a band featuring NRTC Regional Business Manager Mark Davis, will perform at a “Welcome to Ohio Social Hour.” NRTC and the Ohio Electric Cooperatives are sponsoring the gig at the Park Street Cantina in Columbus, (491 N. Park St.), Sept. 6, 8-11 p.m. Pick up wristbands for entry at NRTC’s regional meeting table.

NRTC also will have representatives (though, sadly no music) at the remaining NRECA Regional Meetings:

  • Regions 5 & 6, Sept. 17-19, at the Hilton Minneapolis, Minneapolis, MN.
  • Regions 7 & 9, Sept. 25-27, at the Dena'ina Civic and Convention Center, Anchorage, AK.
  • Regions 2 & 3, Oct. 10-12, at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Atlanta, GA.
  • Regions 8 & 10, Oct. 16-18, at the Renaissance Oklahoma City Convention Center Hotel, Oklahoma City, OK.

NRTC is a Platinum Sponsor for NTCA Fall Conference, Sept. 16-19, at the Sheraton Seattle in Seattle, WA. During the conference, be sure to drop by the NRTC’s member reception on Tuesday, September 18, at 3-5 p.m.  The gathering in the Jefferson Room on the fourth floor of Seattle’s Pike Street Tower, will offer displays of NRTC broadband infrastructure and video technology as well as Telispire and NeoNova presentations. Contact us for registration information.
