There is still time to register for NRTC’s TechConnect 2019, May 13-15, at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa outside Austin, TX. TechConnect is a chance for members doing or seriously considering initiating business with NRTC to gather, learn and network. It is also a place for NRTC’s electric and telco members to learn about each other’s business and explore opportunities to work together to better the communities they serve.
TechConnect is a FREE event for NRTC members; there’s no registration fee to join the general sessions and user’s group meeting or enjoy the social and networking opportunities. But, be sure to register by this Friday, April 19. That is the deadline to reserve discounted rooms at the Lost Pines Resort.
There will be separate User Group Meetings (UGMs) for NRTC’s NeoNova, Telispire and ViaSat members. In addition, a Broadband UGM is geared for NRTC members who have made the decision to build out broadband infrastructure or are seriously exploring broadband opportunities. The session will offer a close look at the technologies, business models, financing options and other details that could solidify a successful broadband service – for both consumers and utilities – for years to come.
Smart grid expert Steve Collier, vice president of business development for Milsoft Utility Solutions, will be the keynote speaker at the TechConnect general opening session on Tuesday morning, May 14. Eric Cramer, president and CEO of Wilkes Communications and RiverStreet Networks, will kick off the day-two general session discussing an innovating partnership in North Carolina between his telco and electric co-ops to expand broadband access.
This is NRTC’s second TechConnect. The first one in Jekyll island, GA, in November 2017, was a success with quality speakers providing excellent insights into the direction of many communications businesses and technologies. Don’t miss this second chance to learn the latest.
