TechConnect 2021

For those of you who joined us for a previous TechConnect, you already know what this one’s all about. If you weren’t able to make it, TechConnect is our (somewhat) annual member event – a combination of technology learning, business meetings and member appreciation.

We gather together in a more informal setting to network and share information. Of course, we also have them in awesome places and reserve plenty of time for fun!

Read on for details of TechConnect 2021.

When is the event?

October 25-27, 2021
(Keep in mind that we’ll have great rates that extend for several days in either direction from the event. With all the incredible activities to do and unique places to see, you may want to turn the trip into a vacation!)

Where will it be?

PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Your Lush Hideaway in Palm Beach Gardens. Here, luxury is always the standard. Just completed June 2021, a full redesign of guestrooms — including an array of new amenities, tech enhancements, spa style bath, and indulgent touches. Experience legendary moments, only at PGA National Resort & Spa. We’d love to see you there!

What’s the agenda?

You can find those details here. Exact times of some of the sessions may change slightly and not all speakers are confirmed, but the overall structure/flow of the meeting is final – for your planning and travel purposes.

We increased the time allotted to our popular Managed Services and Mobile user’s group meetings, and we’ve added executive sessions on Broadband and Smart Grid. And, we make sure the general sessions speak to both electric and telco members.

Finally, we’re leaving time for attendees to get to know the other NRTC solutions groups and have meaningful conversation with the NRTC staff who will be there – as well as each other.

How much does it cost and what does registration include?

Registration is FREE for the first two employees of NRTC members and current customers. Additional employees are welcome to attend at a steeply discounted rate. We also have a special rate for any guests you’d like to bring along, such as spouses. Registration gets you access to all of the general sessions, the breakout of your choice, receptions, breakfast and lunch Tuesday and Wednesday, and the excursion activity of your choice (space-permitting).

How do I register?

Visit the register page and click on the green Tickets button to register and make all your event selections.

How can I reserve a hotel room?

Just visit our link to PGA National!

What sort of activities will we have?

If you’ve attended any of our previous events, you know that, while we work hard during the sessions, we don’t skimp on the food or fun when they’re over! From delicious south Florida and Caribbean-inspired food to excursions that take advantage of all the local area has to offer, we’re planning a special, memorable experience for you. Activities you can choose from (again, at no cost to you) include:

Golf
Enjoy a truly unique golf experience at the Champion course at PGA National, designed by Jack Nicklaus and home to the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic and the famous three-hole stretch called “The Bear Trap.” You can play your own ball or be part of a team scramble – whatever makes you more comfortable and maximizes your enjoyment. Fore! This excursion is on site at PGA National.

Deep Sea Drift Fishing
Enjoy the thrill of catching the fish of a lifetime as you troll for sailfish, marlin, dolphin, wahoo, kingfish, tuna, barracuda and shark in the enriched waters of the Gulf Stream and Atlantic Ocean. The captain and mate provide all the tackle, rigged bait and instruction required.

Catamaran Excursion
Palm Beach is home to many of the wealthiest and most famous people in the world and equally rich in history and architecture. Delight in an entertaining Intercoastal Waterway sightseeing cruise aboard a 50’ catamaran.

Walking Tour of Worth Avenue
The Worth Avenue walking tour covers much of the history of Worth Avenue, including its architectural importance, influence on the fashion world and the development of the legendary social scene that established Palm Beach as America’s first resort destination. In addition to history, we’ll also have time for shopping and a cool treat.

(Note that all activities are subject to change based on interest, availability, weather, and other factors.)

It’s going to be an amazing, extremely worthwhile event. We recommend registering as soon as you can to be sure you get a good hotel room and the activity you’d like.

See you there!
