TechTalks: Funding: Be Ready for Your Opportunity

Broadband funding is the top of the news in communications this week with the announcement of state allocations for the $42 billion Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program. In an NRTC TechTalk video, Teresa Ferguson, senior director, Broadband and Infrastructure Funding advises that members do not have to worry that the available grant money for broadband projects is drying up. There is still ample time to plan applications for BEAD and other broadband construction programs. “We talk a lot about being grant-ready for these programs and there are some specific things [NRTC members] can think about right now,” she says, such as building relationships with stakeholders in the community.
