Singer/Songwriter Doug Johnson to Perform at Nashville Meeting

NRTC’s Annual Meeting for electric cooperatives, March 5 in Nashville, TN, will include remarks and updates by Board Chairman Tim Mergen and CEO Tim Bryan as well as the announcement of the 2023 board election results. Once business is out of the way, those attending will hear from Doug Johnson, a record company executive and songwriter who has worked with country artists including Trace Adkins, LeAnn Rimes, Wynonna Judd, Hank Williams Jr., Kenny Rogers, Alabama and many others.

But Johnson says that his first love is songwriting. He has penned seven number-one hits, ten top-10 hits and more than a hundred songs in total, recorded by several major artists. Some of the songs he lists as proud highlights include:

In addition to performing some of these songs and telling the fascinating stories behind them, he’ll answer questions from the audience. He may even bring a guest or two along with him.

The NRTC Annual Meeting will begin at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 5, at the Karl Dean Ballroom in Nashville’s Music City Center.
